HEATHCOTE I
OVERVIEW
With a young family and three dogs, the vision was clear – the space would need to combine leisure, safety, and style. A space to please both kids and adults (and the adults who are kids at heart!)
APPROACH
With a large, uneven backyard on our hands, one of our main priorities was excavation in order to achieve a level, usable space. We teamed this with the use of retaining walls around the boundaries in order to maintain the same levels as the surrounding properties.
HIGHLIGHTS
We used synthetic grass and composite timbers for both low maintenance and resilience within such a large space. A custom hardwood pool fence panel contrasted with stainless steel caps to allow water to glide off. In keeping with the low-maintenance theme, we chose a cactus garden for both its beauty and durability.
